Texte : The secretariat. The secretariat is the permanent civil service of the League. It is composed of officials from nearly fifty nations, appointed by the Secretary General, and responsible to him. The Secretariat does all the preparatory work for the Council, Assembly, Committees and Conferences, and executes their decisions.
